There are many exciting ziplines in Tennessee, and most of them are in the Smoky Mountains area. Memphis is home to one zipline, and Nashville has several, but most of them are in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The dense forests near the Smoky Mountains are perfect for ziplining, and the area is a popular destination for thrill seeking tourists.

The Smoky Mountains are the perfect place for ziplining, and Legacy Mountain Ziplines is a great example of why that is. You will zip across 7 ziplines and witness the beauty of Tennessee like never before. The experience lasts up to 2 ½ hours, and you will reach heights of 500 feet.
This zipline course isn’t for the faint of heart as you can go as fast as 50 miles per hour. Legacy Mountain Ziplines makes use of auto-breaking technology to ensure your technology, and that’s essential considering how fast you go. A comfortable, air-conditioned van will take you to the top where you will experience increasingly intense ziplines.
This long ziplining package costs $99 per person, and you won’t regret it!

2. CLIMB Works Smoky Mountains
Gatlinburg, Tennessee is home to CLIMB Works Smoky Mountains which provides unparalleled mountain views. The unique setting is what sets CLIMB Works Smoky Mountains apart, but the ziplines and aerial bridges give you plenty to remember as well. You will zip across 6 dual ziplines and rappel from a platform in an experience that takes 2 hours.
The sky bridges are challenging to navigate and help keep things exciting between ziplines. This is the perfect group activity as the dual ziplines add a competitive nature to the experience. Most of the ziplines are around 600 feet long, but the longest line they have spans 900 feet.
Part of the fun of the experience is the wild ATV ride that brings you to your destination. You can enjoy CLIMB Works Smoky Mountains for $109 per person, and I can’t recommend it enough!
3. Smoky Mountain Ziplines
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is home to some of the most unique ziplines in the state: Smoky Mountain Ziplines. Home to 7 ziplines that span a combined total of 4,200 feet, Smoky Mountain Ziplines is a mandatory destination for thrill seekers. You will reach heights of 150 feet and zip across lines as long as 800 feet.
The truck ride up the mountain is part of the fun of the experience as you anticipate the ziplines that await you. Admission costs $99 per person and is worth every penny considering how many large ziplines there are. Smoky Mountain Ziplines also offers complimentary cold drinks which come in handy before and after your ziplining journey.
4. Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park Memphis
If you love adrenaline rushing activities you likely have been or heard of Go Ape Adventure Parks, they are all over the country! The Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park in Memphis is the best ziplining in the Memphis area. They offer several packages that vary in length, number of obstacles, and duration. The most comprehensive package they offer is the Treetop Adventure which includes 40 obstacles.
You will zip from tree to tree and encounter fun aerial obstacles along the way, such as ropes courses and sky bridges. The longest zipline on this course spans 624 feet long, and you will take off from platforms as high as 36 feet tall. It takes 2-3 hours to complete the Treetop Adventure, and it costs $55 for children and $60 for adults.
The Treetop Journey is a shorter experience with only 25 obstacles, and it costs $35 per person. I recommend this package for people that are inexperienced with ziplining as the longest line is only 190 feet. You can also experience the Treetop Journey at night with the Nights at Height option for the same price.
Go Ape Zipline in Memphis also offers axe throwing for $20 per hour and Gorilla Golf for $8 per person. Guests can also attempt the Forest Escape challenger for $20 per person, and you have an hour to escape the forest.
5. Wahoo Ziplines
Sevier County, Tennessee is home to Wahoo Ziplines which boasts some of the best ziplines in the state. It’s located near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but it’s worth driving to Wahoo Ziplines from other cities in Tennessee, such as Nashville and Memphis. The combined total of the lines at Wahoo Ziplines is nearly 2 miles spread across 6 ziplines.
First, you will zip across 4 single lines before you finish the course on tandem and racing lines. I am a huge fan of racing ziplines, and the final racing zipline at Wahoo is the highlight of the course. Throughout the course, you will zip across heights ranging from 40 to 250 feet high which means it’s not for the faint of heart.
The best part about Wahoo Ziplines is that you aren’t restricted. You can flip upside down or spin around if you want to during your experience. Admission costs $89 per person, and I can’t recommend it enough.
6. Adventureworks Nashville North
A 3-hour drive from Memphis, Tennessee, Adventureworks Nashville North has some of the best ziplines in the state. With 8 ziplines, you get plenty of bang for your buck at Adventureworks. It takes 90 minutes to make your way across the 8 ziplines, and the longest line spans 1,000 feet.
The peak height you will reach is 80 feet high, and nothing compares to that feeling. Part of the fun of the experience is the short hikes between each zipline. You will only hike for up to 5 minutes between ziplines, but that helps you appreciate the surroundings and build anticipation as you progress to longer lines.
Adult admission is $65 and admission for children costs $50 per person. However, I recommend booking a group for Adventureworks as you can get a 15% discount.

7. Wears Valley Zipline Adventures
Visit Sevierville, Tennessee if you are a ziplining fanatic! Wears Valley Zipline Adventures sits on 43 acres of gorgeous, private land and features 1 ½ miles of ziplines total. The longest zipline on the property spans 2,000 feet making it one of the most extreme ziplines in Tennessee.
Because the property is so large, you will feel engulfed in the surrounding woods as you zip across 6 lines. Wears Valley Zipline Adventures may not be for you if you’re afraid of heights, however. The tallest zipline on the property stands 250 feet high.
Admission costs $89 per person, but they often run specials and offer coupons for $10 off. You can also save $5 per person if you book a group of 15-25 people.
8. Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park
Not far from Wears Valley Zipline Adventures, Foxfire Adventure Park is yet another amazing zipline course in Tennessee. Between the ziplines, suspended bridges, and rock-climbing walls, there is plenty to do at Foxfire Adventure Park. You will zip across 5 large ziplines that span as long as 1/3 mile.
The peak height of the experience trumps the Statue of Liberty at over 500 feet high. An extreme experience, guests will fly as fast as 60 miles per hour across the lines on the Goliath Zipline Tour. They also offer the Waterfall Zipline Canopy Tour which features two sky bridges and 7 ziplines.
The Waterfall Zipline Canopy Tour progressively gets more intense as it goes on. Both zipline packages cost $89 per person and last two hours. Foxfire Adventure Park also features the tallest rock-climbing wall in Tennessee which stands 60 feet tall.
You can also traverse a fun hiking trail and swinging bridge without a tour guide for a relaxing journey. The trail and swinging bridge costs $12 for kids and $25 for adults, and the climbing wall costs $25 per person per hour.
9. Navitat Knoxville
Navitat Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee is a great example of why the best zipline tours take place in unique settings. The dense forest provides the perfect setting for 60 fun aerial challenges including ziplines, sky bridges, rolling barrels, and more. There are 6 adventure trails for you to choose from and experience at whatever pace makes you feel most comfortable.
Complete one trail at a time and check back in at the Tree House hub before you embark on your next journey. Each guest gets 2 hours, and that is plenty of time to test your skills on the many aerial objects. Navitat, Knoxville features 20 ziplines, and the longest one spans 220 feet long. The daytime Treetop Adventure Park costs $52 per person.
If the daytime thrills at Navitat Knoxville aren’t enough for you, check out the Navitat at Night package. This package costs $65 per person and has guests go through the course with fun lights that create a unique experience. USA Today recently ranked Navitat Knoxville in the top 10 aerial adventure parks in the country, and it’s easy to see why.
10. Ocoee River Canopy Tours
With 9 ziplines and 3 exciting sky bridges, Ocoee River Canopy Tours offers guests plenty of thrills. This beautiful 14-acre property is densely populated with beautiful trees, but they don’t obstruct the view of Big Frog Mountain. Ocoee River Canopy Tours runs from March through October each year.
The zipline tour costs $69 per person and takes 3 hours to complete. They also offer whitewater rafting at Ocoee River Canopy Tours, which provides a different type of thrill. Whitewater rafting costs $55 per person and the experience lasts 3 ½ hours.
However, I recommend the package that includes rafting and ziplining for $99 per person and provides 6 hours of fun!
11. Nashville Shores Treetop Adventure Park
Nashville Shores is more than just one of the top resorts in Tennessee. It is also home to the Treetop Adventure Park which consists of many amazing aerial obstacles, including 10 ziplines. You will traverse fun obstacles between trees, including ladders, sky bridges, and cargo nets.
The longest zipline at the Treetop Adventure Park spans 600 feet, and it’s sure to get your heart pumping. Colored markers indicate the difficulty and extremity of each obstacle so guests don’t have to try anything they’re uncomfortable with. Green markers indicate the easiest obstacles and black markers indicate the most challenging obstacles.
The final two black marker ziplines are the longest with a peak length of 600 feet, and they are what you will remember the most. Besides the ziplines, I find the Tarzan swings to be the most fun obstacle on the course. Admission to the zipline course is $50 per person, but they often run promotions to save up to $20 when you order your tickets online, depending on the time of year.

12. Rafting in the Smokies Zipline Canopy Tour
If you are looking for a zipline adventure that offers more than just ziplining, you should check out the Rafting in the Smokies Zipline Canopy Tour. It is located in Hartford, East Tennessee, just 45 minutes from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Knoxville, TN. This park has been serving thrill-seekers with unforgettable Pigeon River rafting trips since 1978.
The Zipline Canopy Tour offers the best deal in the Smokies with more zipping for the best price around, only $45 plus tax and fees. The 6 ziplines, which can be up to 60 feet off the ground and extend up to 2400 feet in length, offer breathtaking views of the Family Adventure Island, the Pigeon River, and the unique flora and fauna of the Great Smoky Mountains.
While the zipline experience is pretty challenging, it’s still suitable for adventurous participants aged 5 and above, weighing between 55 and 250 lbs. The ziplines are self-braking for your safety, and you’ll be securely attached to an overhead belay cable with ropes and carabiners. A helmet and a full-body harness are provided for your additional safety!
In addition to ziplining, the 10-acre Family Adventure Island offers a nature trail, barbeque grills, a picnic area, beanbag toss games, and a playground. You also have the option to combine your zipline tour with other activities such as Scenic Family Float Rafting, Whitewater Rafting, Rock Climbing Wall, or a High Elements Ropes Challenge Course, all available at an additional cost.
13. Anakeesta’s Dueling Zipline Adventure

You need to arrive at the Chondola base station 90 minutes before your scheduled Zipline reservation time, presenting your printed pass or digital PDF on a mobile device at the Chondola line. Once you reach the summit of Anakeesta, check in at the Adventure Outpost for your zipline experience 45 minutes before your reservation.

Dollywood is the best theme park in Tennessee, and each of the 50 rides provides an adrenaline rush. This 160-acre property has rides for guests of all ages, but the Lightning Rod is the most popular among thrill seekers.
The Lightning Rod launches guests at 45 miles per hour, and you will reach a peak height of 207 feet. Thunderhead and the Mystery Mine offer plenty of thrills as well, and neither of these rollercoasters is for the faint of heart. The Splash Country waterpark at Dollywood is also quite popular and features fun rides like the Mountain Scream and Big Bear Plunge.
Dollywood admission costs $89 per person, but I recommend adding waterpark access for an extra $10. You can visit the waterpark without getting access to the theme park for $55 per person.
Axe Throwing
There are many great places to go axe-throwing in Tennessee, and Memphis is home to one of the best in the state. Civil Axe Throwing in Memphis is a great option if you want to spend a couple of hours throwing axes with your friends in a fun part of the city. You can book an hour for $24 per person or two hours for $38 per person.
Check out Bad Axe Throwing if you find yourself in Nashville. You can have fun at Bad Axe Throwing even if you don’t throw axes as it’s a functioning bar and restaurant as well. Walk-ins cost $27 per hour per person, but the best value is the 2-hour package for $42 per person when you book online.
Gatlinburg Helicopter Tour
Gatlinburg boasts some of the best views in Tennessee, and taking in those sights from a helicopter is unforgettable. The Gatlinburg Helicopter Tour spans 36 miles and provides gorgeous views of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville.
Each helicopter tour can accommodate 2-6 people and costs $149 per person. This is one of the best thrills you can find in Tennessee besides ziplining, and you can’t pass up this experience!
