6 Best Ziplines In Houston, Texas
1. Geronimo Adventure Park
Geronimo Adventure Park is home to 6 thrilling ziplines and several fun aerial objects. Located in Spring, Texas, it takes just 30 minutes to drive to Geronimo Adventure Park for the best ziplines in the area. The 6 ziplines are spread across 3 courses that feature unique treetop platforms and sky bridges between obstacles.
Beginners will appreciate the One Zipline Course package which costs $45 per person and takes an hour to complete. This package includes 5 ziplines and 3 sky bridges, and it’s the easiest of the courses they offer. If you have ziplining experience, I recommend the 2 Zipline Courses and 3 Zipline Courses packages which cost $75 and $100 respectively.
The Two Zipline Courses package takes up to 2 hours to complete, and the Three Zipline Courses package takes up to 3 hours. Each advanced package includes access to the high ropes course, and that’s worth the extra cost alone. Geronimo Adventure Park’s longest zipline measures 555 feet long.
The All-Access Pass costs $130 per person and lets you throw axes for an hour, ride all the ziplines, and use the climbing wall. I recommend this package as it offers the best value, but the Three Zipline Courses package is a great deal as well.
2. Go Ape Zipline Brazos River Park Sugar Land
Go Ape Zipline is one of the best places to go ziplining in Houston because of the lengths and varieties of the ziplines. Sugar Land, Texas is only 27 minutes from Houston, and it’s worth the short drive for the 1,000-foot zipline alone. That is the longest zipline they have, but you can also find ziplines as short as 150-360 feet, offering a nice variety for all guests.
There are 3 zipline adventures at Go Ape in Sugar Land, the Treetop Adventure, Zip Trek Experience, and the Treetop Journey. Here is some information for each:

I recommend the $40 Treetop Journey package if you want a shorter experience with just 22 obstacles. This is a great option for novices as the longest zipline in this package spans 150 feet. The Treetop Discovery package is the perfect middle ground with 42 obstacles that take 90 minutes to complete. This package costs $45 per person the longest zipline spans 360 feet.
For zipline lovers you need to go with the Zip Trek Experience as you get unlimited ziplining for 60 minutes straight! You will get all the thrill you need in this hour session.
Go Ape Zipline in Sugarland now offers axe-throwing as well. Guests can book axe-throwing sessions for $20 per hour.
3. Texas Treeventures
Look no further than Texas Treeventures if you want to experience a variety of aerial thrills near Houston. Texas Treeventures is in The Woodlands, which is a short 31-minute drive from Houston. Home to 72 obstacles that include ziplines, sky bridges, and more, Texas Treeventures offers more variety than the average ziplining facility.
General admission to Texas Treeventures costs $40 for children and $45 for adults. The experience lasts up to 3 hours and includes 30 minutes of instruction before your adventure. Group admission costs $5 less per person, making Texas Treeventures a popular birthday party destination!
The adventure park is split into three levels that increase in difficulty as you progress. Luckily, the “challenge by choice” motto at Texas Treeventures means that you can skip any obstacle you are uncomfortable with.
4. Moody Gardens
Head to Moody Gardens in Galveston, TX if you don’t mind the 57-minute drive from Houston. You may know Moody Gardens as a hotel and education center, but it’s also home to some of the best aerial obstacles in Texas. While there is only one zipline, it is quite large and provides an unforgettable view of Moody Gardens.
Thrill-seekers will love the zipline, but the ropes course is where Moody Gardens stands out the most. The ropes course has a 45-minute time limit, but that’s enough time to complete each obstacle. There are 5 tiers that gradually require more patience and balance.
The ropes course and zipline each cost $25-$30 per person depending on age and the day of the week. However, I recommend bundling the zipline and ropes course package for $40-$50 per person because that offers the best value.
5. Big Rivers Waterpark
Whether you want to fly on a zipline or ride a waterslide, you must check out Big Rivers Waterpark. Big Rivers Waterpark may be well-known for slides like the Storm Surge, but it’s the array of aerial adventures that I love about the park. There used to be two zipline courses at the park, but now only one remains.
Falcon Flight is an exciting zipline course and it takes you over the park’s wave pool, some small buildings, and many trees. The experience lasts an hour, and it gives you the chance to look out onto the waterpark with a unique perspective. You must book your Falcon Flight appointment in advance, and it costs $20 per person.
The Eagle Challenge is the other most exciting aerial adventure at the park, and it also costs $20 per person. This 6-story aerial playground is a fun mixture of ropes courses and sky bridges that are fun to traverse. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, I recommend trying the unique Vultures Dive freefall which only costs $10 and provides a rush you won’t forget.
6. Iron Eagle- Kemah Boardwalk
The Kemah Boardwalk is home to many exciting attractions, but the Iron Eagle is the best if you’re looking for a unique spin on ziplining. While it’s different from a standard zipline, the Iron Eagle scratches the same itch and offers the same type of experience. Instead of strapping into a harness and flying over trees, you get to sit in a comfortable seat and let the ride do the work for you.
The peak height of the Iron Eagle is 100 feet, and you will fly as fast as 30 miles per hour. This gives you an unforgettable view of the other rides on the boardwalk, and it’s one of the best ziplines in and around Houston. Single riders can ride the Iron Eagle for $12, and you get a discounted rate of $17 for two riders.
There are several other fun rides at Kemah Boardwalk, such as the Boardwalk Bullet. The Boardwalk Bullet is a thrilling rollercoaster that takes you as fast as 51 miles per hour and 92 feet in the air for $7.50 per ride. The most thrilling ride at the park is the Tornado which sends guests down a 132-foot tunnel with a peak height of 75 feet. Other attractions like the Big Kahuna and Bonzai Pipelines are quite thrilling as well.
Bonzai Pipelines starts 7 stories in the air and is one of the most extreme slides at the park. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown also have a FlowRider machine where you can test your surfing skills. Admission to the waterpark starts at $30 per person, but I recommend the Gold Pass which costs $55, includes parking, and gives guests a 5% discount on merchandise and food.
Bayou City Adventures
Houston is home to tons of natural beauty, and exploring it provides some of the best thrills in the city. Bayou City Adventures offers kayaking tours that take you throughout Houston and highlight key landmarks. The Houston Skyline kayaking tour takes approximately 3 ½ hours and costs $60 per person.
