3 Best Ziplines In Hocking Hills, Ohio
1. Hocking Hills Canopy Tours
Location: 10714 Jackson Street, Rockbridge, Ohio 43149
Phone: +1 740.385.9477
Website: https://www.hockinghillscanopytours.com/
Hocking Hills Canopy Tours is the best place to go ziplining in Hocking Hills, Ohio. The Original Canopy Tour is the most popular package, and it takes up to 3 hours to complete. It includes ziplines, sky bridges, and rope obstacles that are a blast to navigate with friends and family.
This package costs $99 per person on weekdays and $109 per person on weekends. My favorite tour they offer is the X Tour, which includes 11 ziplines and lets you zip over the Hocking River. It’s the same price as the Original Canopy Tour but offers more lines and crazier views.
I recommend trying the Super Zip if you want to fly as fast as 50 miles per hour. You can add the Super Zip to other packages for $35 per person, and it’s worth the cost if you are a speed demon. However, the best value comes from the Super Zip Package 2 which includes 3 rides for just $60 per person.
Look into the Dragonfly package if you have children. It only costs $35 per person and lets children experience aerial adventure obstacles and ziplines that aren’t too challenging or scary. Teens and adults with limited zipline experience should consider the Discovery Tour which costs $79 per person and offers a shorter experience.
This is the ultimate ziplining location in the Hocking Hills area!

Valley Zipline Tours in Lancaster, Ohio is a short 30-minute drive from Hocking Hills. You won’t find a cooler environment for ziplining near Hocking Hills than Valley Zipline Tours. Surrounded by 53 acres of gorgeous trees and wildlife, each of the 9 ziplines provides unforgettable views.
The combined length of the ziplines is 5,000 feet. Valley Zipline Tours features a 1,400-foot line, and that’s the main attraction. This massive line will take you over two ponds, and you take off from a height of 120 feet. The dual ziplines at Valley Zipline Tours are also quite popular, and nothing compares to the fun of racing your friends.
Each of the ziplines becomes increasingly faster, longer, taller, and more extreme. Hiking between each of the zips is a fun part of the experience, and that’s part of the appeal of the beautiful property.
It takes approximately an hour and a half to complete the zipline course at Valley Zipline Tours. The price of admission for the standard course is $85 per person. Children between the ages of 5 and 7 can try the Mini Zip course which costs $45 per person and only takes 45 minutes to complete.

Ultimate Zipline Adventures started up in Hocking Hills in late 2020, quickly becoming a favorite with its zipline course featuring 11 exhilarating lines. Their adventure starts off with a brief ground training class, ensuring safety and confidence. The full tour is about a 1.5-hour experience, you’re accompanied by your expert tour guides, and in the summer with refreshing complimentary water and popsicles thrown in.
Along with the zipline, they offer 2 different ropes courses; the Ultimate Course and a Standard Course. The Ultimate offers 13 ziplines and 15 high ropes obstacles. The standard course has 2 ziplines and 10 high ropes obstacles.
There are a few requirements and recommendations by their team:
- Age & Weight: 10 years and above, weighing between 70-250 pounds.
- Zip Attire: Athletic wear is best. Closed-toe shoes are a must.
- Accessories: Bring along cameras or GoPros, ensuring they’re securely attached.
- Documentation: A signed waiver is required, with under-18s needing an adult signature.
The downside here is that Ultimate Zipline Adventures is taking a brief hiatus in 2023; it’s anticipated to open back up soon, according to their website and Facebook page. When it does, it’s a thrilling spot you won’t want to miss in Hocking Hills.

What Are Some Similar Activities In Hocking Hills?
Whether it be axe-throwing or rock climbing, there are many fun activities in Hocking Hills besides ziplining.
Mini Golf at Oasis Coffee Shop
You wouldn’t picture a coffee shop as having the best mini golf in Hocking Hills, but Oasis Coffee Shop delivers. Home to 18 holes of fun mini golf action, Oasis Coffee Shop offers more than just lattes and cappuccinos. The layout of the mini golf course is beautiful and meant to evoke the natural beauty that Hocking Hills is known for.
A round of 18 holes costs $7 for anyone over 12, $6 for children ages 4-11, and $4 for children under 4 years old. It’s a great value for such a low price, and mini golf is the perfect cool-down activity after a day of ziplining.
Bury the Axe Hatchet Throwing Bar
Hungry Buffalo is a restaurant in Hocking Hills with an exciting feature: The Bury the Axe Hatchet Throwing Bar. Up to 6 people can throw axes at each lane, but you can call ahead to make accommodations for bigger groups.
It costs $15 per half hour and $25 per hour to throw axes. Whether it be a birthday party, date night, or an outing with friends, axe-throwing is a fun and competitive activity that every adrenaline junkie can appreciate.
High Rock Adventures
Rock climbing offers a similar thrill to ziplining in many ways. High Rock Adventures in Hocking Hills, Ohio is one of the best rock-climbing destinations in Ohio. Whether it be navigating narrow split rocks or rappelling down massive rock formations, High Rock Adventures offers several unique experiences.
You can climb rocks between 35 and 70 feet tall for $79-$94 for kids and adults. The experience takes up to 3 hours including safety instruction, hiking, and climbing. However, I recommend the Climb & Repel Combo Tour for $150-$175 which takes 7 hours.
The combo tour is quite physically demanding, but it’s a great deal if you want to do both. If you want a more relaxing experience, then I recommend checking out the Nature Therapy Tour. It costs $55-$69 per person for children and adults respectively, and it’s a relaxing way to experience the surrounding beauty.
They also offer a unique High Rock Escape experience that puts a fun twist on the concept of escape games. The Attic Escape is the only indoor activity that High Rock Adventures offers, and it costs $35 per person. Guests have one hour to gather clues and escape the attic.
Hocking Hills Escape Games
While ziplines provide a physical thrill, the rush of escape games is solely cerebral. This makes escape games quite gratifying, and Hocking Hills Escape Games provides a fun set of challenges. The Great Heist escape room puts you in the mind of a criminal while you and your friends try to escape from a bank vault.
A team of impressive artists did a great job of theming the vault to make you feel like you’re living out a scene from a movie. You have 60 minutes to escape from the vault. During the first 55 minutes of the experience, you can take your time to collect clues, complete puzzles, and work your way toward freedom.
After that, the bank’s security system will kick in and you have 5 minutes to quickly escape. Adult admission costs $25 per person, and tickets for children 12 and under cost $15. Up to 6 people can enter the escape room at once, and it takes lots of teamwork to make it out!
