1. Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Vermont
If you’re in Vermont and you’re looking for some family winter fun, the Smuggler’s Notch Resort is the place to be. Besides its beautiful accommodations, guests can engage in a plethora of activities, both indoor and out.
Of course, it’s the outdoor winter activities that people should be interested in. Skiing, boarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, and more!
Speaking of being outdoors, Smuggler’s Notch is of course home to some of the best tubing in the state, with both daytime and evening tubing adventures. Daytime tubing runs on Thursday from 10 am to 1:30 pm and Fridays to Sundays 10 am to 2 pm, along with evening tubing five days per week, from 5 pm to 8pm.
2. Holiday Valley, New York
Holiday Valley features some of the very best snow tubing in all of New York. This dedicated snow tubing location has dozens of exhilarating tracks for guests to slide down with speed. For any guests under 42” tall, there’s a special Li’l Tubers area.
Nearby to various lodges and resorts, Holiday Valley Snow Tubing is open Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30 pm to 9 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 9 pm, and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm. Li’l Tubers pay $12, and a regular two-hour session is $30.
3. Aspen Snowmass, Colorado
If you happen to be up in the mountains, then taking a quick visit to Aspen Snowmass, Colorado might be right up your alley.
If being located in such breathtaking scenery weren’t already enough, here you’ll find a massive alpine coaster that has you hurtling down the mountainside at up to 28 mph on an elevated track! It’s open during the day and sometimes even at night when there is a special event.
Take the lift up the snow covered hills to access the multiple snow tubing lanes, complete with night time tubing with full illumination. Tubing is open every day beginning December 22 until March 31, from 11 am to 3:30 pm.

4. Killington Mountain Resort, Vermont
The Killington Tubing Park is some of the best fun your kids can have in the great state of Vermont. Race down the corduroy at the multi-lane tubing are located right at the Clubhouse, just across from the luxurious Grand Resort Hotel.
Enjoy endless tubing with the whole family, and finish off the day having some snacks, hot beverages, and full entrees at the Clubhouse.
Tubing hours are Fridays from 4 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 7 pm, and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. Tubing sessions are one hour long, and rates include park access, tube rental, and lift service. That’s right, all tubing lanes are serviced by lifts, so you don’t have to walk!
5. Mad River Mountain, Ohio
If you’re ever in Ohio during the winter, you should check out the Mad River Mountain Snow Tubing Park. This tubing park is a great place for families and people of all ages.
It’s located right near Dayton and Columbus OH, and provides people with an adrenaline pumping experience ideal for beginners and seasoned veterans alike.
There’s a conveyor belt that pulls guests right to the top, right before you zip back down. Riders must be at least 42” tall to qualify for tubing.
6. Steamboat Resort, Colorado
Visit the Saddleback Ranch’s Yee-Haw Tubing Hill at the Steamboat Resort to experience some of the highest-paced tubing adventures ever.
It’s a massive tubing hill that is totally groomed, and comes complete with a state-of-the-art tube tow lift system so nobody has to do any walking. It’s located just 20 minutes from downtown Steamboat, with shuttles running back and forth constantly.
Once you get to the bottom of the hill, warm up at the Longhorn Lodge, where you can get a warm drink and some great snacks. Tubing is offered Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, between the hours of 10 AM and 6:30 PM.
7. Palisades Tahoe, California
When people think of California, they generally think of sunny Los Angeles, but what many people forget is that there are also some snow-covered mountains, with Palisades Tahoe snow tubing being one of the best wintertime adventures in California of all.
Palisades is home to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the state, reaching altitudes of 8200’, which you can get to by riding a gondola that spans 2,000’ in the air!

8. Hunter Mountain, New York
If you’re in the Empire State and are looking for some good old winter fun, then Hunter Mountain is the place to be. Experience the resort and all of its amenities along with the stunning mountain itself.

9. Stowe, Vermont
Going back to Vermont, Stowe to be specific, here you’ll find tubing fun for the whole family, including a very special guided tubing and snowshoeing tour. Guests are taken on a journey where they get to snowshoe up the hillside and tube back down, all in view of one of the most gorgeous lakes far and wide.

In Vail, Colorado, you start at Lionshead Village and take the Eagle Bahn Gondola to Adventure Ridge, the mountaintop adventure center for kids and families. Here you can enjoy a variety of winter activities such as ski bikes, snowmobiles, and some fast-paced tubing too.
There’s a surface Magic Carpet lift that whisks you right to the top, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride down.
It runs from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 2 pm to 7 pm, from Mid-December through early-April. That’s not all though, because this is one of the few locations in the USA that also has summer tubing. Yes, that’s right, tubing in the summer, all thanks to some very specialized summertime tubing facilities.
11. Snow King Mountain, Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Wyoming is well known for its natural beauty and wintertime fun, and the Snow King Mountain Resort is a prime example of exactly that. The mountain is home to over 500 skiable acres, complete with a new gondola, 41 runs, and 3 lifts. There’s even a mountain coaster here too!
Of course, it’s home to some of the state’s best tubing too. With three groomed lanes, a Magic Carpet to take you to the top, and the tubes included with your purchase. The tube park and coaster are both open November 24 through March 24, 11 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Saturday, and 11 am to 4pm on Sundays.

12. Keystone Resort, Colorado
It should be no surprise that Colorado makes yet another appearance, with Keystone being the destination of choice this time. If you want to experience some truly heart pounding fun, then Keystone and its mountaintop tubing is the place to be. Yes, mountaintop tubing.
Whereas most other tubing hills are located at the bottom of the mountain, this one is right at the top.
Enjoy the gondola on the way to the top, then get ready to enjoy some of the most beautiful views in the state as you ride back down on state-of-the-art tubes. Riders must be at least 42” tall and 4 years old.

13. Mammoth Mountain, California
Mammoth Mountain Tube Park is open Fridays through Sundays from November 24 to December 14, and daily starting December 14. What makes this location so special is that it has some of the longest lanes in the area, along with so many of them that there are barely ever any lines to wait in.
Take the magic carpet to the top and then zip down the mountain at breakneck speeds. If that wasn’t already enough, take a scenic gondola ride 11,053’ up the mountain and enjoy some truly stunning views. Don’t forget that there’s a high-speed mountain coaster here too. Open 10 am to 4 pm daily, and until 5 pm starting February 1.
14. Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia
Take me home to West Virginia’s own Snowshoe Mountain, where you’ll encounter some of the best skiing, boarding, and tubing in the state. Here you’ll find an 8-lane snow tubing hill, complete with lifts that bring you to the top.
Even more exciting is if you take part in the nighttime Galactic Tubing adventure at the Coca-Cola Tubing Park, with colorfully illuminated lanes for the whole family to enjoy.
If you thought that night tubing sounds like fun, the nighttime skiing and boarding available here might really suit your fancy. If it gets too cold outside, check the Bear’s Den, an indoor games and activities center with its own mechanical bull for the kids.
15. The Summit At Snoqualmie, Washington
If you want to experience a true winter adventure that everyone can enjoy, check out The Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington, a real winter wonderland where you can ride sno-go bikes, ski, snowshoe, go tubing, and more.
In case it’s one of the warmer months, this area is also home to some great summertime activities too, such as mountain biking and chairlift rides.
Snoqualmie has seven tubing lanes that are up to 500 feet long, with a vertical of 40 feet, not to mention a surface lift to bring you right to the top. Sessions are 105 minutes each, with a cost of $45 for adults and $18 for children.
16. Adventure Mountain Lake Tahoe, California
If the one and only thing you want to do is tubing, then Adventure Mountain Lake is the place to be. What you get here are a multitude of fully groomed and absolutely massive tube runs that are up to 500’ long.
There are runs for both beginners and pros alike, plus a special area for kids as well. For those who don’t want to go tubing, there’s even a play area too.
Stop in at the Mountain Store Gift Shop on your way out, but not before having some hot drinks and snacks at the lodge. Prices per session start at $20 for adults and $15 for kids, along with an additional $10 for the helmet rentals.
17. Woodward Park City, Utah
Although it may not actually be a mountain, what we have here is a real mountain experience. What we have here is a massive outdoor facility designed to provide guests with a real mountain adventure without actually having to get to high elevations, Woodward Park City. There are some great skiing and boarding runs here, as well as some of the best tubing in the whole country.0
What stands out is that there are seven tubing lanes here, with some of them being up to 1,200’ long, some of the longest anywhere. There are even two separate lifts, so there’s only half the wait. Of course, there’s some nighttime tubing too, with fully illuminated slopes until 7pm daily.
18. Heavenly Mountain Resort, California
Here we have another one of these super neat locations that hosts both winter and summertime tubing. The fact that some places have special facilities just for people who want to go tubing in the summertime is astounding!
Most people will of course prefer tubing during the winter, and this is where you’ll find some of California’s freshest and deepest powder, along with no less than three long tubing runs and located right at the top of the gondola. Unlimited tubing rides are available for just $55.
19. Okemo Mountain Resort, Vermont
Heading back to dreamy Vermont, if snow is your thing, then the Okemo Mountain Resort is a prime destination to consider.
There are plenty of winter activities to take part in here, whether we’re talking about the Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster, ice skating at The Ice House, downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and much more, Okemo is where you’ll find it.
One of the neatest activities you’ll find here is fat biking, which is a type of mountain biking that you can do in the snow. Yes, Okemo is also home to some of the best tubing far and wide, with a full four lanes and lifts to get you to the top.
20. Beech Mountain Resort, North Carolina
Beech Mountain Resort in North Carolina features some of the best tubing around, with a plethora of winding lanes for people of all ages.
Tubing is open during the weekdays, with sessions happening at 12 pm ,2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm, and weekend sessions happening at 10 am, 12 pm ,2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm.
Tickets are $34 for weekdays and $42 for weekends and holidays. Don’t forget that this is an all around fantastic destination for anyone looking to ski or snowboard, whether downhill or in the terrain park, and yes, cross-country skiing is a thing here too!
21. Wisp Resort, Maryland
If what you’re looking for is an adventure, then the Wisp Resort in Maryland might just be your next vacation destination. It is home to some of the most summer and winter activities that any state has to offer.
In the summer, check out some of the best whitewater rafting and kayaking around, or head up into the mountains on a mountain coaster or on a treetop canopy tour.
During the winter, experience some truly amazing skiing and snowboarding, and needless to say, tubing too. There are dual conveyor belts that take you right to the top of the 12 tubing slopes, each of which are a whopping 750’ long. All tubing runs are groomed for a smooth and swift ride.

22. Mount Snow, Vermont
Back in Vermont now, here we have Mount Snow, yet another premier snow tubing location. Known as being a premier skiing and boarding location, guests are attracted in droves from far and wide.
If skiing down a massive mountainside isn’t for you, but you’d still like to experience a bit of adrenaline, then check out one of the eight tubing runs located at Mount Snow’s tubing hill.
It’s more than thrilling enough on the way down, and the way back up is facilitated by a classic Magic Carpet ride. Tubing hours are based on local weather conditions and snowfall levels.
23. Camelback Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania

24. Sugar Mountain Resort, North Carolina
Sugar Mountain in North Carolina is one of the state’s best skiing and snowboarding destinations, with winding slopes and plenty of terrain to choose from.
We are of course here to talk about tubing, and the Sugar Mountain Resort has it in abundance. Enjoy tubing located on the Sugar Mountain Golf Course, with lanes that are over 700’ long and serviced by none other than the Magic Carpet lift.
Each tubing session lasts for just about two hours, with lanes being open from 10 am to 10 pm. Tickets start at $36 for adults and $27 for kids during the week and $45 for adults or $34 for kids on weekends and holidays.
25. Massanutten Resort, Virginia
Massanutten Resort in Virginia has some of the nicest amenities far and wide, with beautiful private lodges for you and the family.
It’s located on a vast expanse of land that allows for fun year round, whether we’re talking golfing, hiking, and the waterpark during the summer, or some of the state’s best skiing and snowboarding during the winter.

26. Whitetail Resort, Pennsylvania
The Whitetail Resort in peaceful Pennsylvania is a prime location if you want to experience some relaxing and family friendly snow tubing.
Whether you’re solo or with the whole family, one of the 15+ lanes will always be open for adventure. Tubing is open 4 pm to 9 pm on Fridays and 12 pm to 8 pm Saturday through to Monday and Holidays. That’s right, nighttime tubing with illuminated slopes is something you can enjoy right here.
