Georgia has some great outdoor adventure sports you can take part in. But what about when it comes to bungee jumping? Are there any bungee jumping locations in Georgia?

There are no bungee jumps in Georgia. However, there are plenty of other extreme activities in the state that are similar to bungee jumping, such as skydiving, ziplining, hang gliding, and rock climbing.

Let’s talk about some places you can go bungee jumping near Georgia. That way, you know how far you have to drive and what to expect. I’ve also included a few activities in the state that are similar to bungee jumping near the end of the article.

Where Can I Bungee Jump Near Georgia?

So, as I have already stated above, there are no bungee jumps in Georgia. However, there are several places you could travel to nearby, depending on how badly you want to go!

1. Carowinds Reverse Bungee

Carowinds has a reverse bungee if you aren’t too picky about the experience since it’s not a classic bungee type of jump. However, many people claim that this is actually more intense, but maybe you can be the judge of that!? I’ll tell you firsthand: never again will I ride a reverse bungee, but I’ll do a classic one all day. Yes, it’s that intense.

The jump at Carowinds is 300 feet high, and you’ll hit about 60 miles per hour. It’s not a long ride, but it’s pretty extreme. You’re strapped into a steel capsule and flung into the air. It’s just like it sounds.

2. Xtreme SkyFlyer Near Richmond, Virginia

Another pretty cool ride is a harness swing; that’s like a bungee jump in that you get the free fall, and you also get to travel back up into the air. There’s one in Doswell, Virginia, called the Xtreme SkyFlyer. This ride raises participants 215 feet into the air, wearing nothing but a cord and harness (sound familiar?).

You’ll be dropped to freefall and swing down near the ground and up to the other side. If you choose to go on this ride, be prepared to feel some G-forces!

3. Track Recreation Center, Tennessee

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is well known for its shopping and music. However, it does have its own little bungee jump at the theme park! Even though it only stands 65 feet tall, it’s still a place to take the plunge!

While 65 feet doesn’t sound like it would give you much of a rush… just wait until you get up to the platform!

4. Track Family Recreation Center, Florida

There’s another Track Family Recreation Center over in Destin, Florida! They have a bungee tower that stands at 75 feet, with a landing bag below so that you can be lowered to the ground after your jump is over.

You must be at least 18 years of age to jump on your own. However, for those underage, all your parents need to do is sign a waiver! Not to mention, there are plenty of other things to enjoy around the park once you’re done with your jump. So, it’s worth the trip!

Activities in Georgia Similar to Bungee Jumping

If you aren’t looking to travel out of the state, I don’t blame you! Sometimes, a road trip isn’t in the cards. However, that doesn’t change the fact that there is nowhere to bungee jump. So, below are a few activities that you can do and get the same sort of rush.

Hang Gliding

Hang gliding is a great way to see the scenery from high up while getting your heart pumping. However, it’s a little less intense than bungee jumping.

A great place to do this is Lookout Mountain Flight Park. Their landing zone even has a swimming pool, campground, and clubhouse waiting for you to enjoy! You’ll get to hop on a tandem flight with an experienced pilot and enjoy the ride.

Ziplining

Ziplining is another experience that will get you into some of that adrenaline-pumping action. There are a few great places to do this here, such as

At Callaway Gardens, there are several different courses you can choose from, such as the Discovery Course and Lake Course, and they even have a course for the kiddos called the Spalling Course. Both of the adult courses / bigger kid courses have five ziplines that range from 200 to 700 feet long.

If you choose to go to the Chattahoochee Nature Center, they have seven ziplines, with the longest one being 500 feet long. The tour takes 1 to 1.5 hours and requires all participants to be at least 60 pounds.

Lastly, there’s the Historic Banning Mills; this is a great place and holds the “World’s Longest Zipline Canopy Tour.” Moreover, there are four levels of ziplines, and as you level up, the ziplines increase in speed, height, and length.

However, perhaps their best one is the Flight of the Falcon, which reaches up to three-quarters of a mile, where you get to fly like Superman!

Skydiving

Skydiving is a sport that can and should be enjoyed by everyone, everywhere! There are really no ‘bad’ places to go skydiving. People even skydive in Antarctica! You just have to time the weather right.

Rock Climbing

Georgia has a wide variety of good places to rock climbing throughout the state. While it’s not as great as some of its neighbors, such as Tennessee, there are plenty of places you can still enjoy a good climb.

With locations such as Mount Yonah, Stone Mountain, and Lost Wall. There’s a variety of different rocks to climb, stemming from granite domes to crack and face climbs. It just depends on what you’re looking for!

Are There Any New Bungee Jumps Coming to Georgia?

After checking thoroughly with every resource I could find, there are no reports of new bungee jumps coming to Georgia. However, as always, keep your ears open and your eyes peeled, as this is always subject to change!

Although, for now, there are some other activities in the area you can enjoy. Or, if you wish to travel, you can go to a neighboring state to leap from their bungee platforms instead.
