Paint and sip nights involve a whole lot of creativity and fun. Paint and sip is all about allowing you to express your creative side by designing some of the most beautiful works of art to come from your own two hands, all while enjoying your favorite beverages, usually a nice glass of Chardonnay or something similar.
Whatever the case may be, paint and sip nights are not only great for relaxing, but they’re ideal for spending some quality time with friends and family as well. Who knows, after a few glasses of wine and a few strokes of the paintbrush, you might just create the next great work of art known to mankind.
However, paint and sip nights aren’t for everybody, or maybe you’re just getting sick and tired of the same old routine. Whatever the case may be, here we have 24 activities like paint and sip that you might enjoy equally as much or even more.
1. Pottery and Ceramics Class
If you like being hands-on and creative, then doing ceramics and pottery is something you might enjoy. In fact, pottery and ceramics are a little bit more hands on and even messier than painting, which is something that you might enjoy, especially if you happen to bring your own wine along as well.
Here, you get to mold, shape, and design your own pottery pieces, which really lets you get in tune with your artistic side.
There’s also the fact that it’s a really social activity because you can create some really beautiful looking pottery pieces along with your favorite friends and family members. Even if the pottery and ceramics don’t look professional, at least you’ll have something to laugh about when the day is over.
2. Escape Room Challenge
When it comes to testing your mind, there is not much that is more difficult than an escape room challenge. Here, you’re put together with your favorite friends and family members, or in some cases random teams of people, to solve a variety of mysteries, puzzles, and obstacles that keep you locked inside of a so-called escape room.
Not only does this allow for a bit of action and adventure, but it’s also a really great team building and family bonding experience because everybody has to work together. It’s both a challenging and rewarding experience that will allow you to figure out who’s up to the task and who is not.
3. Trivia Night
Another great way to test your intellectual prowess is by having a fun little trivia night. Now, you could of course have trivia night at home, but where’s the fun in that? Paint and sip nights are what you like, then sip and trivia nights might be right for you.
There are plenty of bars and pubs out there that host trivia nights where whole teams of people can get together, have some beers and drinks, and answer some really fun questions.
It’s always a good time to see just how many obscure and interesting facts everybody is aware of. It’s also just a really good way to socialize with friends and meet new people too.
4. Glass Blowing Classes
If the mesmerizing world of molten glass is something that you’d like to experience, then taking a glass blowing class is something we recommend. Glass blowing can be fairly dangerous, so this is probably not something that you want to sip wine alongside.
That said, this allows for a whole lot of creativity and hands on fun, because you get to create, below, and sculpt your own beautiful pieces of glass artwork. At the end of the day, you can even take your creations home and display them in your house.
5. Arcade Bar
If the two main things you like include alcohol and having fun, then going to an arcade bar is certainly something worth trying. For those of you who don’t know, an arcade bar is like a combination of a bar and an arcade, which means that you get to enjoy your favorite drinks while also playing your favorite arcade games.
There are some fantastic arcade bars out there, and of course, these are designed solely for adults. While regular arcades can be a whole lot of fun, not everybody likes dealing with a billion screaming kids, therefore making an adult arcade bar the perfect place to be.
6. Golf Simulator Pub
A very unique activity that you could try is going to a golf simulator pub. Just like paint and sip nights, here you have a golf and sip night. No, here we aren’t talking about getting loaded on a 12 pack of beers and driving around a golf course on a golf cart while endangering the lives of everybody else.
Instead, here you get to practice your swing from the safety of the bar, all while enjoying a few drinks, all within reason of course. It’s a great way to connect with your friends to see who has the best swing after they’ve imbibed a couple of beverages.
7. Karaoke Night
Oh yes, karaoke night, a classic but a fan favorite across the board. When it comes to having a whole lot of drinks and letting loose with your friends, there’s not much better than karaoke night.
Whether you can sing or not, you’ll stand on stage in front of a few dozen people, potentially hundreds of people, and belt out a few tunes to your heart’s content.
Luckily, if you’re in the right place, everybody’s drank so much alcohol that they won’t realize just how bad of a singer you actually are, and if you happen to be a good singer, even better.
8. Flower Arranging Workshop
If drinking and adventurous times aren’t particularly ideal for you, then something else you could try is a calming and relaxing flower arranging workshop. This is something that is ideal for the creatives, for people who need something calm where they can express themselves.
Crafting amazing floral arrangements is a very serene and calming experience that allows you to express your emotions while also socializing with friends and family members. Not only that, but if you go to the right flower arranging workshop, you might even get to drink a glass of wine too, not to mention meet some interesting new people.
9. Themed Dinner Parties
For those of you who like to eat, like we certainly do, then throwing or attending some themed dinner parties might be the right Ave. for you to follow. Themed dinner parties could follow any kind of theme, whether Mexican, African, French, or anything else in between.
The dinner party doesn’t even have to be themed according to a certain country. You could have a pirate or a space night where everybody dresses up and cooks together.
Whatever the case may be, if you have friends and family that love eating new types of food, then a themed dinner party can be a whole lot of fun. There’s also the fact that themed dinner parties and copious amounts of alcohol appear to go hand in hand.
10. Cooking Class

Furthermore, you can find cooking classes for all sorts of types of food as well, so you can learn to cook what you like to eat the most, and then make those same dishes for your friends and family. If you go to the right cooking class, the instructor might have you cooking with some nice wine as well, and if you’re careful, you might be able to sneak a sip or two.
11. Wine Tasting Tour
Yes, here we are talking about paint and sip nights. However, maybe you don’t want to paint at all. Maybe you don’t want to paint, cook, draw, or do anything else of the sort. Maybe your main goal is simply to sip. If this is the case, going to a nice wine tasting tour might be right up your alley. A wine tasting tour will have you visiting a variety of high-quality vineyards where you can try all of their best wines.
12. Sushi Making
After you’ve gone on your wine tasting tour, chances are that you might be a little hungry. After all, after a couple glasses of wine, most people start feeling a little peckish. If so, then the next stop on your list might be a nice sushi making class.
Now, although it might seem like making sushi involves nothing more than rolling up a bunch of raw fish inside of rice, it’s actually quite a complex process that requires a good deal of skill.
So, if you’ve had too much wine to drink, you might want to wait a couple hours to sober off, or else those sushi rolls won’t look very nice. Whatever the case may be however, a lot of people love eating sushi, and taking a class along with your friends is a great way to socialize and learn a new skill at the same time.
13. Board Games and Brews
Closely related to paint and sip night, we have board games and brews. Of course, it’s quite self-explanatory, as here you drink some beers and play your favorite board games, whether monopoly, the game of life, risk, or anything in between.
Although a lot of people enjoy playing board games, there’s no denying the fact that a few beers could probably make even the most boring of board games a little more adventurous and tolerable.
For the record, there are plenty of places out there designed specifically for this, where they serve alcohol and board games simultaneously.
14. Outdoor Movie Night
If you’re an avid cinema goer, but you just can’t afford those ridiculously expensive movie prices anymore, then why not try having an outdoor movie night? Instead of each paying $30 to go see a movie with your friends, in a movie theater where there’s kids kicking the back of your chair throwing popcorn at you, you could have your own backyard outdoor movie night from the comfort of your own home.
If you’re really hurting for money, you could even charge people a small fee and create a semi professional setup. Either way, if it’s nice weather outside, you could even build a little outdoor mini bar, have a BBQ, and enjoy some cinema with your friends and family.
15. DIY Craft Workshop
If the main point is to keep your hands busy, have a couple glasses of wine, and gossip with your friends, then having a little DIY craft workshop is always a good option as well. The point is that you get to relax, you get to express your emotions, you get to be a bit creative, and most importantly of all, you get a glass of wine.
16. Book Club
Ah yes, who could forget the good old book club. Book clubs have been around presumably as long as there have been books. People love getting together and dishing about their favorite books.
Gather a group of friends, choose your favorite books, and see how far you can get through them while drinking your favorite chardonnays. Whoever reads the most chapters while consuming the most wine wins the prize!
Of course, you could also just do a regular book club where you all read a fantastic classic and discuss it in great detail, all without being intoxicated.
17. Attend a Workshop or Class
Yes, this point is vague, and purposefully so. The reason for this is because there are dozens if not hundreds of different classes and workshops out there. There are pottery classes, woodworking workshops, pet grooming workshops, computer programming workshops, and everything else in between.
The point here is that you should try to think of something that you’ve never done before, something that you’d like to master, and then give it a try. Although you might not succeed at everything, you won’t know until you try.
18. Amusement Park or Fair Day
When it comes to being adventurous and getting your adrenaline pumping, there’s not much better than going to an amusement park. That said, unlike a paint and sip night, we recommend not having any alcohol while riding roller coasters, because that’s a recipe for disaster!
19. Art Gallery or Museum Tour

21. VIP Movie Night
Whether you want to call it a VIP movie night or just a regular movie night, the bottom line is that sometimes there’s just nothing better than sitting inside on a comfortable sofa, cuddling up with a blanket, having some popcorn, and enjoying your favorite beverage.

22. TopGolf
If you’ve got a whole lot of pent up frustration and energy that you need to get rid of, then doing some TopGolf might be right for you. No worries, because here we aren’t talking about real golf where you have to keep track of your score, go from one hole to another, and lug around all of your gear.
Instead, here you stand on a platform and your only goal is to drive a ball as far as humanly possible. In case it wasn’t clear, these may also just be referred to as driving ranges. Many driving ranges also serve alcoholic beverages, something that you might really enjoy.
23. Virtual Reality Experience
If we’re talking about modern adventures, something you might try doing is a virtual reality experience. Put on a pair of virtual reality goggles and immerse yourself in a world that you’ve never seen before.
There are some really fun virtual reality adventures out there, and if you’re a thrill seeker, put yourself in some kind of action video game or horror scenario. If you’re sick and tired of the real world around you, then the virtual alternative might be much more to your liking.
24. Candle Making Class
Going back to the more creative side of things, if you’re somebody who likes fire, making your own candles is certainly something you could try.
There’s just something about candles that create a really inviting and warm atmosphere. Set up a few candles, put on a blanket, have a glass of wine, and watch your favorite movie. There’s nothing better than getting to watch or even smell a candle that you crafted yourself.
